SAVANNAH, Ga — Good morning! This is StormTeam 3 Meteorologist Alysa Carsley, ready to help you kickstart a fantastic Monday.
We were treated to a spectacular weekend, weren’t we? Plenty of sunshine and pleasant temperatures made it perfect. The exciting part is that this trend continues into the workweek, promising more sunny skies and comfortable weather.
As high pressure continues to drive last night’s cold front further offshore, we’re set to enjoy high temperatures that hover just below average, ranging from the low to mid-70s this afternoon.
While we enjoy a quiet start to the week, our attention turns to the next cold front expected on Tuesday night. This front is merely a reinforcing one, bringing perhaps a few extra clouds Tuesday evening. Most of us will likely sleep right through its overnight passage, which will simply bolster the cool air already in place.
As the workweek comes to a close, high pressure returns, bringing morning temperatures down into the 40s across the region, while daytime highs will settle around the average, in the mid-70s.
A weak trough is going to try to form off our coast. This will bring back a partly cloudy sky both weekend days with passing shower at times. Not a weekend washout as of now.
