A Magistrate Court in Kano has reportedly directed the well-known TikTok duo, Idris Mai Wushirya and Basira Yar Guda, to wed within a 60-day period.

Instablog reveals that this mandate follows the circulation of videos featuring the couple, which were considered inappropriate by the court.

Details Of The Judgement

As reported, the controversial videos showcased the pair engaging in displays of affection.

Nevertheless, this behavior is viewed as violative of the local moral and religious standards.

The judgment issued by Resident Magistrate Halima Wali on Monday, October 20, 2025, warned that failure to complete the marriage within the specified period would amount to contempt of court.

Additionally, the court directed the Chairman of the Kano State Films and Video Censorship Board to supervise the implementation of the ruling.

According to a recent report from the Daily News,  the duo were earlier arraigned for allegedly creating and circulating obscene content online.

Mai Wushirya was previously remanded after clips showing him and the female creator in compromising situations went viral.

Meanwhile, authorities emphasized that the acts violated existing laws in Kano prohibiting the production and dissemination of sexually suggestive materials.

Meanwhile, despite the swirling reports, the couple are yet to break their silence, with fans sharing their thoughts and opinions.
