A recent investigation has provided a closer look at the location where Tyler Robinson allegedly shot and killed Charlie Kirk, a well-known conservative activist, at Utah Valley University. This incident, which took place on September 10, 2025, has drawn significant attention, raising questions about security and the circumstances leading up to the tragic event.

In a pursuit to uncover more details, senior correspondent Brian Entin journeyed to Utah. His on-the-ground reporting offers fresh insights into the assassination that left a father of two dead. Entin’s investigation included capturing video footage of the roof area, providing a clearer picture of how Robinson might have accessed the spot from which he allegedly fired the fatal shot.

Entin was surprised at the ease of access to the roof, noting, “Before I saw this, I thought he had to go some sneak way to get up here.” His observations highlighted that the route was not as clandestine as one might assume. “This is just a big open walkway where students walk back and forth between the buildings,” he explained, describing the path that leads to the roof.

The video evidence and Entin’s analysis underscore the need for enhanced security measures in public spaces, especially on college campuses, to prevent such tragedies in the future. As the investigation continues, the focus remains on understanding how such a breach in safety protocols could occur and what steps can be taken to ensure it does not happen again.

“This is just a big open walkway where students walk back and forth between the buildings,” he said of the path near the roof.

“You could literally just pop over that railing and then boom, you’re out on the roof, walk a little bit, and you would have a clear view to the courtyard” where Kirk was engaging with a student at the time of the shooting.

“I was surprised how easy it was to get on the roof,” Entin added.

has learned that the FBI is doing new interviews with people who were witnesses, and specifically zeroing in on people who had children at the event.

Senior producer Allison Weiner joined “Brian Entin Investigates” to discuss why the agency could be conducting interviews with parents.

“They’re getting their ducks in a row for filing for the death penalty,” Weiner said.

“To get to be a death penalty case, you have to have certain qualifications. Certain things have to have happened, and if you murder somebody in front of children, that’s one of the things that has to happen,” she added.
