Kristi Noem, the long-standing political figure, has been married to Bryon Noem for several decades. However, their marriage has been under scrutiny due to persistent rumors of infidelity that refuse to fade away. Despite her efforts to dismiss these claims, many observers point to her living arrangements as potential evidence supporting the speculation.
For years, Noem has been linked to Corey Lewandowski, who effectively serves as her chief of staff. A report from September 2025 by New York Magazine stated it is “widely understood” that the two are romantically involved. In terms of their respective partners, Lewandowski’s wife, Allison, maintains a low public profile, while Bryon has previously expressed affection for his wife and children on social media. However, he does not reside with Noem.
According to a New York Post article from 2023, during Noem’s tenure as Governor of South Dakota, Bryon did not live at the governor’s mansion. Sources indicated he moved out around 2021, although SDPB reported that Noem stayed at the mansion during weekdays and spent weekends with her husband and their teenage son. This arrangement seemed understandable until their son, Booker Noem, relocated to Kansas City in September 2024, raising questions about why Bryon did not move to Washington, D.C., following Noem’s appointment as Secretary of Homeland Security. This is not the only peculiar detail about their living situation since she took on her new role.
Living separately can be rationalized when one partner manages a business in South Dakota while the other is stationed in Washington, D.C. However, eyebrows are raised when the Secretary of Homeland Security rents an apartment directly across from her alleged affair partner. This situation raises suspicions.
Reports in April 2025 disclosed that Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski became neighbors. According to Daily Mail sources, Noem and Lewandowski are often seen together at Noem’s apartment building. A neighbor claimed, “I’ve seen them together in both the elevator and common areas.” The neighbor noted that while hookups within MAGA circles are not uncommon in Navy Yard, it is unusual for married cabinet secretaries to live near their alleged partners. Another insider confirmed that Noem and Lewandowski continue to travel and socialize together, leaving little doubt about their ongoing extramarital relationship.
Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski are neighbors
Look, living apart while one partner runs a business in South Dakota and the other is based in Washington, D.C. for work could probably be rationalized. After all, even if it’s a little unorthodox, one spouse being the Secretary of Homeland Security is pretty niche. When said secretary rents an apartment across the street from her supposed affair partner, though? Kind of shady.
In April 2025, reports emerged that Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski had become neighbors … but that wasn’t all. According to sources who spoke to Daily Mail, the Secretary of Homeland Security and her chief of staff were often seen hanging out at the former’s building. “I’ve seen them together here both in the elevator and in common areas,” a neighbor of Noem’s told the outlet. They went on to add that it wasn’t exactly uncommon for MAGA hookups to happen at Navy Yard, but noted, “Now it’s even higher up, with married cabinet secretaries bunking their volunteer chiefs.” Another insider added that on top of all that, there was also no question that Noem and Lewandowski were still romantically involved. “They continue to travel together, they continue to socialize together. Very clearly, they’re still having an extramarital relationship,” that source said.
Of course, the situation is pretty tragic for Bryon Noem. Many have described Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski’s behavior as humiliating for her husband, and they’re not far off the mark. It does also bear mentioning that while Bryon was once very lovey-dovey about his wife on social media, that seems to have stopped in 2025. Granted, his Instagram bio does still say, “Husband to @govkristinoem.” Then again, it also says he’s the First Gentleman of South Dakota, and that’s no longer the case either.
