Authorities report that a man allegedly threatened his neighbor and her family with a knife in Putnam County, Florida.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, a resident of Interlachen, identified as 61-year-old Minor Catledge, was taken into custody following an incident involving verbal threats against his neighbor and her dog.
The confrontation reportedly began on Friday, October 17, when Catledge confronted his neighbor on a public path near his property. He claimed ownership of the land and allegedly warned her that if she trespassed again, he would “eat her dog.” Deputies from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office responded and initially seemed to have defused the situation.
However, about an hour later, the same neighbor contacted authorities again, reporting that Catledge had approached her property wielding a knife and had started threatening her and her family members. An officer from the Interlachen Police Department arrived on the scene before deputies returned, and allegedly heard the threats firsthand.
Catledge was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated assault. During his transport to the Putnam County Jail, he allegedly told the deputy that upon his release, he intended to locate the victim and “beat them.”
