In Los Angeles, “Dancing with the Stars” took a magical turn with its “Wicked Night,” featuring the ten remaining couples performing to tunes from the Wicked movies.

The judging panel saw a notable addition as Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli were joined by special guest judge Jon M. Chu, the director of the Wicked films and the forthcoming “Wicked: For Good.”

Scores from “Wicked Night” were combined with those from the previous week’s “Dedication Night,” since there was no elimination last week. Ultimately, the competition bid farewell to Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying and his professional dance partner, Rylee Arnold.

Reflecting on his journey, Scott expressed profound gratitude, stating, “It’s meant everything. I’m so incredibly grateful for this. Rylee is my favorite person ever. I had so much fun. I learned so much.”

Rylee Arnold shared her pride in Scott’s performance, saying, “I’m so proud of you. You did amazing this season, and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner.”

Reality TV Star Whitney Leavitt earned the first set of 10s of the competition for her quickstep to “Popular.” Three of the judges gave her and partner, Mark Ballas, a 10, leaving her just one point away from earning a perfect 40/40.

However, she didn’t stay at the top of the leaderboard alone for long, as gymnast Jordan Chiles also earned a 39/40, tying her as the top-scoring couple of week six.

Next week, expect the ballroom to be filled with spookiness as the show’s annual Halloween episode will take place on October 28.
