SAVANNAH, Ga. — On October 17, the Calvary Day baseball team celebrated a remarkable achievement as they received their state championship rings. This momentous event took place just before the school’s football team faced off against Johnson.
In a thrilling showdown in May, Calvary Day triumphed over Savannah Christian to secure the Class 3A-A state championship. This victory marked the Cavaliers’ third state title in the history of their baseball program.
Phillip Lee, who led the team from 2015 to 2024, highlighted two significant aspects of the championship rings. “We played 32 of our 35 games on the road,” Lee noted. “In total, we traveled 7,292 miles this year, which is inscribed on the inside of the rings. Additionally, our mantra, ‘To God gets the glory,’ is also engraved inside, reflecting what we lived by throughout the season.”
Looking ahead, Georgia schools are set to begin baseball practice as early as January 19, 2026, with the first games scheduled for February 9, 2026.
