On Thursday, during the directions hearing, attorney Luke Officer represented one of the officers involved in the incident with Kumanjayi White.
“An independent investigation remains a pressing necessity,” another voice added.
“An independent investigation is still urgently needed.”
‘Slow but careful and considered process’
Coroner Armitage told the court an additional directions hearing would be considered for February next year to update the parties involved.
