The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has released video footage capturing the moment its Border Mounted Patrol Unit (BMPU) apprehended an undocumented immigrant with a criminal history from Mexico. The arrest took place over the weekend on a private ranch in Kinney County, Texas.

The individual, identified as 52-year-old Adan Delgado-Ortega, was detained and subsequently handed over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), as confirmed by DPS officials.

This incident occurred during “Operation Lone Star,” just after 9 a.m. local time on Sunday. The DPS mounted unit, accompanied by a K-9 unit and handler, responded to an alert triggered by a sensor on the private property.

Texas Border Mounted Patrol troopers and a K-9 tracked and found Adan Delgado-Ortega hiding in thick brush.

According to the DPS, the Border Mounted Patrol troopers, alongside the K-9, successfully tracked Delgado-Ortega to a dense area of brush where he was attempting to conceal himself.

BMPU troopers and the K-9 tracked and found Delgado-Ortega hiding in thick brush, according to DPS.

After he was taken into custody, troopers discovered Delgado-Ortega is a previously deported felon, with multiple deportations dating back to 1998.
