University officials in Maryland are on the hunt for a suspect following a campus attack on a student, which stemmed from an earlier road rage confrontation during the morning rush hour.

The incident unfolded around 8:55 a.m. on Thursday. A student from Towson University informed police that they were assaulted in Parking Lot 11 on campus, as detailed in a statement provided to Fox News Digital by the university.

According to university representatives, the student recounted an off-campus road rage encounter in which the alleged perpetrator trailed them to the university’s parking lot.

Authorities are actively searching for the suspect accused of physically attacking the student and damaging their vehicle’s tires in the parking area, following the initial road rage incident off-campus. This occurred at Towson University in Towson, Maryland, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, as reported by police.

The suspect, described as a male driving a dark-colored sedan, allegedly exited his car, assaulted the student, and slashed the tires before fleeing the scene in his own vehicle, according to officials.
