In the latest episode of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, Gia Giudice, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, and Randall Cobb faced a harsh consequence for their actions.
The episode, titled “Trust,” marks the fifth installment of Season 4. It kicked off with the directing staff (DS) asking each participant to identify the member of the group they trusted the least. LaPaglia was the first to voice her opinion, pointing to model Chanel Iman—a surprising choice given Iman’s low profile until that moment.
However, the DS had their own method for testing trustworthiness. They strategically placed a box filled with sodas, candies, and other snacks in the unoccupied food hall. Despite Iman’s warnings to leave the box untouched, Giudice and Cobb mistakenly believed it to be a reward from the DS and distributed its contents among the recruits. Unbeknownst to them, the box was labeled “DS Dorm,” indicating it was not meant for their consumption.
When the DS later addressed the situation, Cobb accepted full blame for the distribution. Giudice informed the DS that Iman had attempted to prevent them from taking the snacks. As a result, the entire team, except for Iman, faced a collective punishment. They were ordered by the DS to plunge into a cold bucket of water, with Iman given the task of naming the person she trusted the least.
After a moment of reflection, Iman chose LaPaglia, explaining, “It saddened me when you chose my number earlier. I may not be at my physical best, but you should trust me. Deep down, you know this, which is likely why you felt guilty for your choice.”
As punishment, LaPaglia was told to stand inside of a cage in the middle of base camp. Giudice and Cobb voluntarily chose to join her, and when the three of them were settled in, the rest of the recruits were forced to throw buckets of “nasty ass water” onto them.
“In the Special Forces, our punishments are severe,” DS Rudy Reyes said in his confessional. “Any mistakes made in training can turn into disastrous effects on the battlefield, where lives are lost. We use shame to retain. When you mess up, we correct you hard.”
While everyone else was allowed to go back to the barracks, LaPaglia, Giudice, and Cobb ended the episode sitting cold, wet, and doused in shame in the cage.
Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Hulu.
