One team is making its first World Series appearance since 1993, while the other has reached this pinnacle five times in the past decade.

One of these teams has garnered the support of an entire nation, while the other faces criticism for its hefty spending, with its manager humorously noting they are just four victories away from “ruining baseball.”

Though their paths to the Fall Classic differed, the Dodgers, boasting a roster filled with stars, will attempt to secure their second consecutive championship starting Friday night at Rogers Centre. They will face off against the tenacious Blue Jays. The Post’s Greg Joyce delves into the matchup:

When it comes to reaching base, no team excelled more than the Blue Jays during the regular season, boasting an on-base percentage of .333 — slightly ahead of the Dodgers’ .327. The Blue Jays also led the league with a batting average of .265 and struck out less frequently than any other team, with only 17.8 percent of their at-bats ending in strikeouts, highlighting their knack for making contact.
