As the current season of The Real Housewives of Orange County approaches its finale, a significant portion of the audience is eager for a cast shake-up. Discontent has been brewing among fans, who are calling for some cast members to leave in hopes of revitalizing the show. Here’s a look at who viewers are targeting and their reasons why.

‘RHOC’ fans hope for a cast shakeup after this season

Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson, who have formed a close alliance on this season, are on the chopping block according to some fans. Both joined the series in 2018, and for many viewers, this year might be their last.

One Reddit commenter voiced their long-standing frustration, stating, “I’ve been sick of them since basically midway through their first ever episode.”

While there’s a general consensus for both women to depart, Emily Simpson is the main focus of viewers’ dissatisfaction.

“We’re only one episode in, but I can already say confidently that this needs to be the end for Emily,” expressed another fan. “She is infuriating. I’m not sure what that would mean for Gina, but I wouldn’t be upset if she left too, even though I found her more likable last season.”

Even people who dislike Kirschenheiter are easier on her than Simpson.

“Gina sucks but she can stay,” added one fan. “Emily can go!”

“Gina is annoying but Emily (who I used to like) has got to go,” wrote another person. “She is a mean two faced hypocrite.”

Many people believe that Kirschenheiter and Simpson are overproducing the show’s drama, making things feel inauthentic.

Kirschenheiter proved she is at least vaguely aware of the conversation surrounding herself and Simpson. After the two poked fun at Gretchen Rossi’s appearance, many fans got up in arms. They likened Simpson’s face to an Instagram filter and joked that she looked like she dipped herself in formaldehyde.

“We were complimenting Gretchen,” Kirchenheiter told Decider. “That’s just a real conversation between two friends joking it up. Why I like Gretchen is because you can have fun with Gretchen. I could say all of this to Gretchen, and she would laugh with us.”

Another ‘RHOC’ Housewife seems closer to leaving the show

At this point, Bravo intends to bring back Kirschenheiter and Simpson for Season 20. There’s another Housewife who may not appear, though. Tamra Judge has quit the show twice this season. In a recent episode, Simpson and Heather Dubrow said Judge was the least trustworthy person on the show. After fighting with Dubrow about this, Judge announced she was leaving the show.

“It just makes me sad,” she said, per People. “I know I’m not perfect. I know I’m a good person, I’m not a liar, I’m not a cheater. So for them to say they don’t trust me, that feels like it’s an attack on my character, and it makes me just want to shut down.”

“Have a great season,” she added as she left a party. “I’m done. Absolutely done. I hope you’re happy with yourself.”

Judge also walked off the show during a cast trip to New Orleans. She ultimately will appear in the rest of the season, though.
