The communications team supporting Meghan Markle is once again undergoing changes. Emily Robinson, who recently served as the Duchess of Sussex’s director of communications, has left her position after only a few months, making her the tenth publicist Meghan has worked with in recent years.
“Ms. Robinson managed project-based work for a highly successful season of With Love, Meghan and provided additional support for the production company,” a spokesperson for Meghan, 44, informed Us Weekly on October 24. “She excelled in her role and completed these projects with notable success.”
Robinson became part of Meghan and Prince Harry’s team in June, following her previous role in publicity at Netflix. Reports from The Times of London and People suggest that Robinson’s departure was voluntary. Her exit is the latest in a series of turnovers, as Meghan has had nine other communications staff members, two of whom have since transitioned into different roles within the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s operations.
Since stepping back from their royal duties in 2020, Meghan, 44, and Harry, 41, have relocated from England to California. There, they secured a significant deal with Netflix, resulting in various projects, including the With Love, Meghan docuseries.
“We’re pleased to continue our partnership with Netflix and to broaden our collaboration to include the As Ever brand,” Meghan stated in August. “My husband and I are inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create meaningful content across genres that resonates globally and celebrates our shared vision.”
With Love, Meghan has now aired two seasons, showcasing the duchess’s passions for cooking, gardening, and other DIY crafts alongside celebrity friends. Speaking at a Forbes panel earlier this month, Meghan teased the potential for a third season:
“I think, looking at that format — again, with a year of [learning] — we’re able to say eight episodes for two seasons, it’s a lot of work,” she said. “Having done Suits for seven years, I remembered what goes into a production. I also recognize how much people want content in different sizes.”
She continued, “It’s amazing to be able to sit and watch a show for 30 minutes, but how can I give you a recipe in two minutes and where can I share that with you and how that continues to grow As Ever? So, [we’re] exploring all the options of what it could look like.”
While Meghan stayed coy on whether a third season will happen, she confirmed fans can expect a “really good” holiday special. “I do lots of gift wrapping techniques. You guys know I used to teach gift wrapping at Paper Source, an advanced gift wrapping [class],” Meghan teased. “All of those things that you do as an auditioning actor, that’s not the full circle I was expecting, but here we are.”
