Bijou Phillips, who is separated from Danny Masterson, has initiated legal steps to change their 11-year-old daughter’s last name, distancing from her father’s surname.

The model, who moved to end her marriage with the actor in September 2023 following his rape conviction, has asked for her daughter’s name to be altered from Fianna Francis Masterson to Fianna Francis Phillips, as reported by TMZ on Friday.

Representatives for both Phillips and Masterson have not yet provided comments to Page Six.

Masterson, now 49, and Phillips, aged 45, were married in October 2011, and they welcomed Fianna Francis into their lives in 2014.

Throughout the legal proceedings, Phillips was a notable presence, standing by Masterson’s side during his trial and subsequent conviction for two rapes that occurred in 2003, finalized in May 2023.

The actress was often photographed holding hands with the “That ’70s Show” alum outside of court.

She also penned a letter to the judge ahead of his sentencing, describing him as an “amazing father.”

Phillips described Masterson’s relationship with Fianna Francis as “inseparable.”

Masterson, who has maintained his innocence, was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison at the North Kern State Prison in Delano, Calif., in September 2023.

At the time, Phillips reportedly “[couldn’t] accept” that Masterson was responsible for the rape crimes, with an insider telling the Daily Mail, “Danny is adamant he did nothing wrong and Bijou believes him.”

The insider alleged that the “Raising Hope” star was committed to staying by Masterson’s “side moving forward.”

Phillips, however, decided to pull the plug on her marriage with Masterson shortly after the sentencing.

Insiders previously told the Daily Mail that Phillips’ friends and family have encouraged her to separate from Masterson to show her daughter that “eventually people need to be held accountable for what they do, even if it is someone they love.”

“Bijou also is doing it to protect her assets and protect her future. She doesn’t want to lose money and land and housing over a future civil lawsuit against Danny,” the source claimed.

Phillips confirmed she had moved on when she stepped out with beau, Jamie Mazur, in June 2024.
