A suspected intruder was shot early Wednesday morning around 7 a.m. while allegedly trying to break into a home in San Bernardino County, California.
According to The Daily Press, the individual, identified as 39-year-old Todd Johnson, was discovered injured near the house when deputies arrived at the location.
The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department issued a statement indicating, “Investigations showed that Johnson approached the house and attempted to force entry. A resident inside the home shot the suspect.”
The department also mentioned, “Johnson will remain in custody as he receives medical treatment and will face charges of residential robbery once he is medically cleared.”
Fortunately, no one inside the home was injured during the incident.
