Melissa, known for her role on the popular reality series Real Housewives of New Jersey, spoke candidly with Us Weekly on October 23. At 46, she emphasized her unwavering support for family unity. “I’m always going to be team family — always,” she asserted. “We’ll see what happens. We’ll see where it goes. For the sake of our children, I would love for everyone to reach a place of healing. It’s not something I want to persist indefinitely. It’s important to set a good example, so I’m always for healing and to be continued.”
Teresa, reflecting on the fractured family ties, seems to feel that enough time has elapsed to justify reopening lines of communication. She has even expressed a willingness to film with Melissa in future seasons, hinting at a hopeful path forward for the family.
In addition to discussing family matters, Melissa also touched upon a personal incident from June when she was involved in a car accident, marking a year filled with both challenges and potential new beginnings.
According to Teresa, she believes that when it comes to reconciling the family, “enough time” has passed to warrant a conversation. In fact, she appears to be open to filming with her sister-in-law in the future.
“I feel like we need to get there … the core of that show has always been family. And it is hard to imagine it without being about the family. So we’ll see,” she reasoned.
Continuing on about what is to come with RHONJ season 15, Melissa said, “Bravo will decide,” as she confirmed that she doesn’t know more than anyone else.
“I feel like everyone secretly thinks we’re going to get this big announcement. And I’m like, ‘Are we?’ I’m at Bravo offices today. I feel like snooping in their drawers or something. But I know as much as you do. That’s what’s so crazy. They know better than to tell us anything,” she explained.
Meanwhile, during an appearance on Jeff Lewis‘ radio show, SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Melissa looked back on her “really, really bad accident” in which her Lamborghini SUV was totaled.
“My airbags exploded. I was shaking and crying. It was not my fault. I was pulling out. I look, I look, I’m clear. This guy came out of like, another side street. He T-boned me. I go to open the door. I couldn’t open the door,” she recalled, as seen in a clip shared on Instagram on October 23.
Then, after confirming that she did, in fact, make sure to grab her Chanel handbag, Melissa admitted she was supposed to yield but clarified that the other driver “should’ve yielded to [her], and he did not.”
“I did the right thing,” she insisted.
