Woman arrested after admitting to fabricating burglary, assault story

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Authorities in El Paso have arrested a 52-year-old woman on Tuesday, October 21, following allegations that she fabricated a report about a burglary and an assault last month. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO) confirmed the arrest.

Maribel Wong, 52, faces charges for making a false report to a peace officer. She was taken into custody at the El Paso County Detention Facility, with her bond set at $4,000.
