Nigerian food influencer Opeyemi Famakin has once again ignited online discussions with his latest critique of a popular eatery in Ibadan, Oyo State.

In a video he recently released, Famakin shared insights from his visit to Item 7, a favored fast-food destination recommended by numerous locals. Contrary to expectations of a delightful dining experience, he confessed to leaving the venue feeling “confused.”

In the video, Famakin expressed his thoughts, saying, “I was encouraged to try Ibadan’s Item 7. I did, and to my surprise, this is the first time I’ve encountered a bone in my Shawarma!”

Famakin, who recently tied the knot in a private ceremony, acknowledged that although the Shawarma was tasty, packed with meat, and well-seasoned, the unexpected bone discovery significantly diminished his enjoyment.

Famakin, who recently got married in secret, noted that while the Shawarma was flavorful, meaty, and well-seasoned, discovering a bone in it significantly affected his enjoyment.

“It’s actually good meaty, rich but that bone ruined it. If they took it out, it would have been perfect,” he added.

Known for his candid and often humorous reviews, Famakin didn’t hold back on rating other menu items either. He gave the fried rice a low score of 3.5 out of 10, calling it bland and underwhelming:

“The fried rice… no. I don’t think I’ll ever have that again.”

He was slightly more generous with the Jollof rice, rating it 5.5 out of 10 and describing it as “basic but acceptable.”

Overall, Famakin rated his experience at Item 7, Ibadan, 5.2 out of 10.
