SAVANNAH, Ga. () – On Saturday, Forsyth Park’s vibrant lawn buzzed with excitement as the Savannah Pride Center celebrated its 26th annual Pride Festival. This year’s theme, “Illuminate and Let Your Light Glow,” served as a powerful reminder for individuals to shine brightly, especially during challenging times.
The event showcased a diverse array of LGBTQ+ led or owned small businesses and shops, inviting the community to explore and support local entrepreneurs. In addition, several tents offered valuable resources tailored for the pride community, along with interactive activities designed to foster connection and enjoyment among attendees.
Among the unique offerings was a tent by Rev. Victoria Burnett of We R One Weddings, where she provided donation-based wedding ceremonies for those eager to say “I do” right then and there.
Rev. Burnett expressed her commitment to spreading love and happiness. “There are so many places that turn people away, but that’s not something I can do. I believe in embracing everyone, and I want people to love freely,” she shared.
“So many places will turn people down, and I can’t do that. I just love everybody, and I want everyone to love who they want to love,” said Burnett.
