A tragic accident claimed the life of a 30-year-old woman from Bushnell, Florida, in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident unfolded around 9:58 p.m. on State Road 50, just east of Sloans Ridge Road, according to troopers at the scene.
Details from the FHP report indicate that the woman was driving a 2002 GMC Sierra westbound on S.R. 50. She apparently failed to maneuver through a left-hand curve, causing her vehicle to veer off the road in a northwesterly direction.
The pickup truck rolled over multiple times, and tragically, the driver was thrown from the vehicle. Authorities suspect she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Sadly, she was pronounced dead on the scene, as noted in the official report.
FHP is still investigating.
