The privileged offspring of a prominent attorney has been apprehended after an attempt to escape law enforcement by allegedly driving his white Mercedes G-Wagen into two police officers in Pennsylvania.

Dalton Janiczek, aged 21, faces charges including attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault, and fleeing from police. He appeared in court for arraignment on Saturday.

The incident began on October 24, when police say a sergeant tried to pull over Janiczek’s vehicle. Instead of complying, the driver reportedly accelerated, maneuvering dangerously across a concrete median at high speeds.

Authorities eventually located the vehicle in a parking lot near the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel in Plymouth Township. However, Janiczek allegedly shifted into reverse, ramming into a police car multiple times.

An officer exited the patrol car and ordered Janiczek to stop, but the young man is accused of accelerating toward the officer, prompting the officer to fire his weapon.

Janiczek – who stands at 6’2ft –  accelerated the vehicle again, this time striking the officer, causing him to fall. G-Wagens cost up to $186,000.

As the officer attempted to administer a tourniquet to a leg wound, the Mercedes circled back around the lot and struck the officer three more times as he lay on the ground.

The 21-year-old sped off again in his Mercedes, before hitting another parked Plymouth Patrol vehicle head-on and injuring a second officer, police said.

He was finally apprehended. Both injured officers were transported to the hospital, where the first officer underwent emergency surgery. They are in stable conditions.

The suspect lives with his parents, including his high-flying lawyer father Lee Janiczek, at their $1.4 million home in Ambler, Pennsylvania.

His father is a partner at Lewis Brisbois LLC, representing corporations and insurance companies with their liability claims. He did not respond for comment when contacted by the Daily Mail.

Janiczek is a student at Loyola Marymount University. He’s part of the college rowing team, and previously he was a member of La Salle College High School’s crew team all four years.

The seasoned athlete was named captain senior year, and won multiple awards for his sport during his time in school.

Despite his sporting and academic successes, the 21-year-old has wracked up an incredible rap sheet, with 11 criminal charges since 2023.

Nearly all of his arrests are connected to reckless driving, including speeding, driving an unregistered vehicle, misusing plate cards, careless driving, driving without a license, and parking illegally.

Nine of his most recent charges have occurred since June 2025, during three different traffic stops.

His latest run-in with the law is his most serious to date – having been charged with attempted murder of a Plymouth Township police officer.

He was arraigned on October 25, 2025, before Magisterial District Judge Thomas P. Murt, who denied bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled on November 4.
