Tom Brady drops the ball live on air leaving NFL fans stunned

Fans were taken aback when Tom Brady made a surprising remark during a live broadcast on Fox Sports this past Sunday.

After retiring from professional football in 2023, Brady has ventured into sports analysis, having secured a lucrative position as a Fox Sports announcer.

His transition to the commentary booth has received a variety of responses, and his latest on-air slip-up might not enhance his reputation.

While covering the Giants’ 38-20 loss to the Eagles, Brady appeared to use an expletive while discussing Philadelphia’s quarterback Jalen Hurts, who managed to evade a defensive play in the first quarter.

Brady commented, “The D-line is almost there to get him, and then, nope, he just squirts away, and they can’t f***ing… uh, just like that.”

Though Brady attempted to swiftly move on from the comment, fans who were tuned in to the broadcast caught the expletive and quickly rushed to social media.

One fan posted a clip of the incident, with the caption: ‘Did Tom Brady just curse on the air?’. The reply section was inundated with ‘Yes’ responses.

Brady is signed to a 10-year, $375 million deal to serve as a Fox Sports announcer but it’s not the first time that he’s stunned fans with his commentary this season alone.

NFL fans were left baffled after Brady seemingly admitted that he ‘kicks his dog’ during a live broadcast in September.

During Fox’s coverage of the Chicago Bears’ Week 3 game against the Dallas Cowboys, Brady reacted to a frustrated moment from George Pickens, who threw his helmet on the floor.

Commenting on the incident, Brady said: ‘Those helmets can be… like a dog at home. Kick the dog, throw the helmet. Whatever it takes’.

Brady’s role as both Fox analyst and Raiders co-owner has also sparked debate in recent weeks – with suggestions that he’d leak information from his broadcasting duties.

He was was spotted wearing a headset in the coach’s booth during a Monday Night Football game between the Raiders and the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers earlier in the season.

The sight of Brady in the booth has led to fans raising questions about a potential conflict of interest or violation of the rules set forth by the NFL dictating what the seven-time Super Bowl winning quarterback can and cannot do in both these roles.

Brady was spotted sitting among the offensive coaching staff as ESPN spoke about how he worked with offensive coordinator Chip Kelly every week.

Elsewhere during the Giants-Eagles game, rookie Cam Skattebo was rushed to the hospital after suffering a horrific ankle injury.

The running back had to be carted off after being tackled at midfield by Zack Baun during the second quarter at Lincoln Financial Field. The Giants later confirmed that Skattebo dislocated his ankle and was taken to the hospital for ‘further evaluation.’

Immediately after the tackle, he went down in a heap and smacked his helmet in pain. Skattebo’s ankle could be seen pointing at a 90-degree angle, with bone poking out inside his sock.

Nearby, players from both teams immediately put their hands to their heads. Others dropped to a knee, while some turned their backs. Jaxson Dart could be seen shouting in frustration and shaking his head.

Skattebo’s Giants teammates called for medics to tend to the rookie, who alongside quarterback Dart has breathed new life into New York’s season.

The running back was in obvious distress as he sat on the turf and Skattebo already had a brace on his lower right leg when he was driven off the field.
