Jannik Sinner has put to rest speculations surrounding his involvement in a rumored celebrity ‘love triangle’ by confirming his relationship with the former girlfriend of Michael Schumacher’s son, Mick Schumacher.
From the moment the tennis prodigy burst onto the scene at the tender age of 19, his personal life has captivated fans almost as much as his impressive on-court performances. Now at 24 and ranked as the world No. 2, Sinner’s romantic escapades have often been the subject of public intrigue.
Throughout his rise to fame, Sinner has been romantically linked with several notable figures, including high-profile models and fellow tennis player Anna Kalinskaya. However, it seems the Italian star has found a more stable connection in recent times.
His current partner, a former Miss World finalist, previously dated Mick Schumacher. She has been a supportive presence at Sinner’s matches, frequently seen in the stands cheering him on. Her presence was notably spotted in Sinner’s player box during key tournaments like Roland Garros and Wimbledon.
Following his triumph at the Austrian Open final, Sinner took a moment to express his gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much for the support. The work you put in, the effort. Even understanding me sometimes isn’t easy, but thank you for your commitment.” These words highlight not only his appreciation for her support but also their close bond.
World No 2 Jannik Sinner confirmed he’s in a relationship after winning the ATP 500 in Vienna this week
The Italian is thought to be dating Michael Schumacher’s son’s ex Laila Hasanovic
The Danish former Miss World has been spotted in the stands at a number of Sinner’s matches in recent months
‘My family, my girlfriend, my friends and even those watching at home. Thank you all so much for the support.’Â
The confirmation of the pair’s romance comes just weeks after a social media star’s team astonishingly claimed she was dating both Sinner and his rival Carlos Alcaraz.Â
Brooks Nader, a Sports Illustrated model, was alleged to have been romantically involved with the two stars after her sister Grace Ann sparked speculation by saying that her sibling was involved with someone ‘whose name rhymes with winner’. She also later hinted that Alcaraz was ‘the man of the hour’.Â
But during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in late September, Nader was deliberately vague about her love life.Â
‘I would just say, a lady never kisses and tells – especially twice, that’s just not nice,’ she said.Â
‘Dating is such a loose term these days. It’s just… I don’t know.
‘By the way, my only thing is, guys do it all the time, so why can’t I do it?’
It was however also during the US Open this year that tennis-lovers became certain that Sinner and Hasanovic were romantically linked.Â
It comes just weeks after the team of model Brooks Nader (pictured) claimed she was dating both Sinner and his rival Carlos Alcaraz
Rumours were sparked after Nader’s sister described Alcaraz as the ‘man of the hour’ and said her sibling was dating someone whose surname rhymed with ‘winner’
Despite claiming he was single just weeks earlier, eagle-eyed fans spotted the Italian’s screensaver was in fact a picture of Hasanovic.Â
She later jetted to New York to take in his semi-final against Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Their relationship was further confirmed elsewhere by an unusual source – the owners of an ice cream shop near Sinner’s Monte-Carlo apartment.
Roberto and Nicoletta Stampfl, owners of the Santo Gelato told Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport: ‘Sinner and Laila Hasanovic live in the La Condamine neighborhood of Monte Carlo. Our shop is right under their building. I really liked Laila, she’s kind, just like Jannik.
‘She’s beautiful, very simple in the way she carries herself and dresses. In short, she’s a very down-to-earth girl.
‘Sinner knows (a lot) about (ice cream) when he comes here, he tastes before deciding. But in the end, he always chooses pistachio and black cherry, his favourite flavours.’
