Anne Hathaway found herself humorously “arrested” by singer Sabrina Carpenter, who playfully accused her of being “the most perfect princess in the world.”

The renowned actress became the latest celebrity to be spotlighted during one of Sabrina’s performances, a tradition that occurs just before the singer performs her hit song “Juno,” where she theatrically “apprehends” a member of the audience.

At 42, the Hollywood star seemed genuinely charmed when 26-year-old Sabrina directed the audience’s attention her way. The playful exchange added a delightful twist to the evening.

With a playful grin, Sabrina asked, “Do you feel like it’s a crime to be this gorgeous? Hello, what’s your name?” Hathaway, beaming, responded amid the sound of a siren in the background.

Recognizing the famous actress, Sabrina exclaimed, “You’re Anne! Wow!”—a moment that drew laughter and cheers from the crowd.

‘I just don’t know what to do when I see a face like this in the crowd. Where are you from?’ she proceeded to ask.

Anne then said she was from Genovia, the fictional country her character rules over in The Princess Diaries movies.

‘Genovia!’ Anne responded.

‘Genovia!’ Sabrina said amid cheers. ‘Has anyone ever told you you look like a princess? I’m in the presence of a princess, I’m getting so flustered.’

‘Anne, can I arrest you for being the most perfect princess in the world? This one is for Anne everybody, my Juno girl!’

She then handed the cuffs, adorned with pink fur, to The Princess Diaries star, who kissed them.

Anne is the latest star to be cuffed by Sabrina, with Gigi Hadid, Salma Hayek, Millie Bobby Brown, Marcello Hernandez, and Margaret Qualley also receiving the treatment.

Sabrina’s performances have frequently received attention due to their raunchy nature.

But earlier this month Sabrina made headlines after she dropped the F-bomb twice during her live performance on Saturday Night Live.

While performing Nobody’s Son from her new album, Man’s Best Friend, she raised eyebrows as she crooned ‘He sure f**ked me up,’ on two separate occasions.

While the expletives aired uncensored during the East Coast live telecast and Peacock simulcast, NBC quickly cleaned it up for the West Coast broadcast and digital uploads on YouTube and Hulu.

After the episode aired, fans took to social media to react to the surprise profanity, with many expressing disbelief that the curse words made it through NBC’s usually strict censors.

‘SABRINA SAYING F–K UNCENSORED LIVE ON SNL IS KILLING ME,’ one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

‘Oh NBC about to be fined so bad for letting Sabrina say f–k 2 whole times on SNL,’ another joked.

A third viewer tweeted: ‘Sabrina Carpenter is one of the best modern #SNL hosts but I do fear for her future on the show after she dropped two uncensored f-bombs during her second musical performance tonight.’

According to Variety, there was ‘likely some miscommunication with NBC’s censors,’ as the profanity was not muted or delayed during the East Coast broadcast.

Historically, SNL runs with a minimal delay to avoid such slip-ups, though the show’s West Coast airing appeared to have added one after the fact.

Carpenter’s explicit moment came during her second performance of the night, staged in a martial-arts-inspired set.
