In a significant legal development in Brunswick, Georgia, a man has admitted guilt and received sentencing for multiple child-related offenses, as reported by District Attorney Keith Higgins. On October 22, Valdez Lozada, aged 54, entered a guilty plea for an array of charges, including two counts of first-degree cruelty to children, four counts of child molestation, two counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes, one count of electronically furnishing obscene material to minors, and two counts of sexual exploitation of children.

The court has imposed a cumulative sentence of 60 years on Lozada, with 40 of those years to be served in the Department of Corrections. This outcome underscores the severity of the crimes and the judicial system’s commitment to protecting the community’s most vulnerable members.

Lozada’s arrest took place on February 12, following a response by the Glynn County Police Department to a reported sex offense at the Glynn Mobile Home Park. The investigation revealed troubling details about Lozada’s actions. He had allegedly formed a relationship with a family that included two young daughters, whom he invited to his residence repeatedly over a period stretching from December 2024 to February 2025.

Lozada was arrested on Feb. 12 by the Glynn County Police Department after officers responded to a call at the Glynn Mobile Home Park in reference to a sex offense.

Police then learned during their investigation that Lozada had reportedly befriended a family with two minor daughters whom he repeatedly invited to his home between Dec. 2024 and Feb. 2025.

On multiple occasions, according to the District Attorney’s office, Lozada undressed in front of them. He also gave the minors a cell phone with nude photos and videos of himself. Lozada also forced the minors to undress, taking pictures and videos of them.

The District Attorney’s Office said it would like to thank Glynn County Police Department, especially Det. Damon Baker for his tremendous work on this case.
