A man from Chicago is now facing charges in connection with the death of his estranged wife, who was discovered deceased in the stairwell of his condominium building.

Authorities have charged Adam Beckerink with first-degree murder following the demise of Caitlin Tracey, as indicated by court documents.

In October 2024, Tracey’s body was found at the base of a stairwell in the building where her husband resided, located on the 1200 block of South Prairie Avenue in the South Loop. Disturbingly, her foot had been severed.
