Renowned for his soul-stirring ballads and soothing pop-folk melodies, this world-famous singer has captivated audiences globally with his distinctive musical style. Since his breakthrough hit in 2005, he has continued to charm fans with his heartfelt performances, solidifying his place in the music industry.

In a bold move last year, the singer promised to change his name should his latest album reach the top spot on the UK charts. However, the album settled comfortably at number seven, sparing him from the name change and allowing him to continue his career without any alterations to his moniker.

Last year, he vowed to change his name if his latest album reached number one on the UK charts – but did not have to go through with it as it peaked at seven.

On Friday, the veteran performer was spotted attempting to go incognito as he arrived at Sydney Airport, ahead of his Saturday concert at Qudos Bank Arena.

He rocked a laidback look in a navy jumper paired with jeans and white Adidas sneakers.

The singer accessorised with stylish aviator glasses and wore a black baseball cap from his own accessory range on his head.

Despite attempting to keep a low profile, he still had his trademark smile.

So, have you guessed who it is?

That’s right, it is James Blunt, the iconic English singer best known for his 2005 hit You’re Beautiful!

James is currently performing across Australia and New Zealand and looks to be keeping a low profile during his downtime.

In November last year, James backed out of legally changing his name to ‘Blunty McBluntface’.

The British singer vowed to make the change if his new album made it to number one in the charts – but it did not.

The 51-year-old re-released his 2004 Back To Bedlam and previously promised to change him name to ‘whatever the public wanted’ if the music reached the top.

However, he was saved by the album’s chart performance landing at number seven – well short of number one.

James appeared on Australia’s The Project and said he was ‘relieved’ he didn’t have to change his name.

‘I’m hugely relieved… That’s because if my album had gone to one I’d change their name to whatever the British public chose. They chose that,’ he said.

‘I’m happy because my wife promised to change her name to her maiden name’ he added, laughing.

He joked that he would have chosen to call himself ‘Jimmy Spliff’ if he had the choice, and also listed off the name his children chose for him.

‘I have kids and they really wanted Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Pop Star’ the 5′ 8′ hitmaker added.

Blunt released Back To Bedlam two decades ago and the record featured huge hits such as You’re Beautiful, High, Wisemen, and Goodbye My Lover.

The album went on to reach the top spot on the UK albums chart for weeks and is now certified 10x Platinum.

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Hampshire star was re-releasing the album and going on tour.
