KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The University of Tennessee’s new baseball coach, Josh Elander, stands to earn over $1 million annually, as outlined in his recent contract.

Josh Elander, who has been part of Tony Vitello’s coaching team since Vitello’s tenure began, was unveiled as the head baseball coach over the weekend. Elander has agreed to a five-year memorandum of understanding with the university, securing his position as head coach through June 30, 2030. Under the terms of the agreement, Elander will receive a base salary of $500,000 per year, supplemented by an additional $500,000 in compensation.
