AUGUSTA, Ga. — Today, we have the pleasure of introducing you to the Georgialina Outdoor Dream Foundation, an organization reminiscent of the Make-A-Wish Foundation but with a focus on outdoor pursuits like fishing and hunting!

For those who enjoy pickleball, there’s an exciting opportunity to support this cause. The upcoming event, “Paddles & Dreams” pickleball tournament, is scheduled for November 9th at Dink’d Pickleball.

These fundraising events are crucial as they allow the Georgialina ODF to grant outdoor adventure wishes to children who are bravely fighting cancer.

Georgia game warden, Cory Bohannon, shared his experience of fulfilling 8-year-old Cory’s dream, highlighting the impact of these initiatives.

This cause is personal for Eve Gallo and her family, who benefited from such kindness during her own battle with cancer. Inspired by their experience, Eve and her father established the Georgialina Outdoor Dream Foundation to extend that compassion to others.

Tony Gallo says, as the foundation grows, they need more people to join them!

“We have grown so much in the last two years. We’re tapped out manpower wise, so we are looking for committee members to run the committees for the fundraisers, for helping the children so we can evaluate, get them out in the field. And again, it’s hunting, fishing, camping, anything outdoors. So yes, we are definitely looking for committee members to help out. It’s a good problem to have.”

Paddles & Dreams, “lifting spirits through every swing,” is set for Sunday, November 9th at Dink’d Pickleball on Furys Ferry Road. Hours are 1:00 – 5:00pm

It’s a Round Robin tournament with 4 Brackets: Coed Novice, Women Doubles, Men Doubles, and Mixed Doubles – 8 teams in each

The cost is $60 for a team of two. Go to georgialinaodf.org for more information or to register!
