Troian Bellisario was the center of attention in a daring birthday homage from her husband, Patrick J. Adams, as she celebrated turning 40.
The “Pretty Little Liars” actress marked her milestone birthday on Tuesday with Adams posting a bold image on social media. The snapshot showed Bellisario lying naked on her stomach by a pool, engrossed in her phone, with a glimpse of her bare backside visible.
The revealing post was part of an Instagram series that also featured more personal moments. These included Bellisario enduring an ice bath, enjoying precious moments with their daughters—7-year-old Aurora and 4-year-old Elliott—and a nostalgic photo from her pregnancy days.
Expressing his admiration, Adams wrote, “I’m amazed by everything you do and feel incredibly fortunate to share life with you. Happy birthday, @sleepinthegardn. You are a gift that keeps giving, and everyone who knows you is lucky.”
He added, “You keep pushing forward, leaving no stone unturned, and you live life with no hesitation, embodying boundless love, hustle, and heart. Always, in every way.”
Bellisario also shared her husband’s sweet birthday gestures in an Instagram Story, which included a black gift box tied with pink ribbon, a vase of flowers, a hardback copy of Anthony Burgess’ “1985” novel and green balloons reading, “happy birthday.”
“Once again the greatest gift giver,” she wrote, tagging the “Suits” star.
“I am beyond lucky,” she added.
Bellisario and Adams, 44, have been married since December 2016.
The mother of two talked about their marriage during her appearance on Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s podcast, “Dinner’s On Me,” in May, noting that they had to date long-distance for long periods of time since meeting in 2009.
“We always used to joke that, like, the number of in-room hours [we’ve spent together] is real low,” she cracked of their busy filming schedules.
The actress admitted that there’s a period of adjustment when they’re reunited again.
“You’ve been living apart, so you’ve been living on your own, and you form your own habits,” she explained. “Like, when he comes home from shooting on location, does he take his coffee the same way?”
“You know, maybe I’ve gotten used to waking up and going for a run, and all of a sudden, there’s somebody in my bed that I wanna spend time with, but I’m like, well, this is what I do,” she continued.
“That’s really hard to navigate with the kids,” she added.
