ST. HELENA ISLAND, S.C. — Queen Quet, the Chieftess of the Gullah Geechee Nation, has been distinguished with the prestigious Excellence in Education award. This accolade is a tribute to her significant contributions to literacy, mentoring, and educational equity, which have left a lasting impact on her community.

The award was presented by Artika R. Tyner, the visionary founder and CEO of Planting People Growing Justice.
