On Wednesday night, Sydney Sweeney made a bold fashion statement on the red carpet with an outfit that turned heads and captured attention.
The actress dazzled in a shimmering silver gown that left little to the imagination, gracing Variety’s 2025 Power of Women event.
The floor-length creation by Christian Cowan elegantly highlighted Sweeney’s figure, featuring a cinched waist that accentuated her curves.
This striking ensemble, complemented by diamond earrings, featured a unique lace-up design at the back, adding to its allure.
Sweeney’s recent hair makeover, a striking blonde bob, was prominently showcased as she confidently wore the daring transparent dress.
Following the step-and-repeat, the “White Lotus” alum made a speech about being “underestimated” in the industry.
“I know what it feels like … to have people define you before you’ve had a chance to define yourself,” she told attendees. “I know what it feels like to have to prove that you deserve to be here, to be seen, to be taken seriously.
“Every one of us has our own fight,” Sweeney continued. “Strength doesn’t look loud sometimes, and sometimes it’s about getting up again and again, no matter who is watching.”
She concluded by telling young women not to “shrink themselves,” urging them to believe their “power is already within.”
The Emmy nominee shared the speech via Instagram, dedicating her words to boxer Christy Martin, whom she portrays in the “Christy” biopic, as well as “all the women who inspire us in big and small ways.”
Ahead of Wednesday’s gathering, Sweeney spoke to Variety in a wide-ranging profile.
In the interview, the “Anyone But You” star dispelled online speculation that she has undergone plastic surgery to change her appearance.
“I’ve never gotten anything done,” she insisted to the outlet on Monday. “I’m absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing.”
Sweeney noted, “I’m going to age gracefully.”
The “Handmaid’s Tale” alum clapped back at viral “comparison photos,” explaining, “I’m like, ‘I’m 12 in that photo. Of course I’m going to look different. I have makeup on now and I’m 15 years older.’”
