Two hurt in Champaign crash; one person ticketed

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — An afternoon collision in Champaign on Friday led to two individuals being taken to the hospital by ambulance, with one of them facing a ticket as a result of the incident.

The accident occurred at 3 p.m. on Mattis Avenue close to Bloomington Road. Joe Lamberson, the public information officer for the Champaign Police Department, informed WCIA that the crash happened when a vehicle entered the roadway from a private driveway and was struck by another vehicle.
