The recent Verzuz rap battle spotlighted two iconic hip-hop labels: Cash Money Records and No Limit Records.

WASHINGTON — Rapper B.G. has shed light on the absence of Lil Wayne from last week’s much-anticipated Verzuz face-off between Cash Money Records and No Limit Records.

During an interview on “The Breakfast Club,” B.G. explained that Lil Wayne missed the Las Vegas showdown on October 25 due to health issues. “The morning before the Verzuz, Wayne wasn’t feeling well,” B.G. mentioned on Friday. “He had a concert scheduled at Drai’s that same night, which he also had to cancel.”

This Verzuz battle was expected to feature Lil Wayne alongside Juvenile and other members of the legendary New Orleans group, The Hot Boys. Fans were left disappointed as Wayne’s health concerns took precedence over the planned performance.

The Verzuz rap battle between the two hip-hop labels was set to feature Wayne, Juvenile, and other members of the New Orleans group, The Hot Boys.

“Shorty wasn’t feeling good because he was definitely supposed to be there, you know,” He had to go to the hospital or something like that.”

“I told him, man, we ain’t spring chickens no more, man,” he added. “You got to make sure, man, you’re healthy…get your rest, man. You’ve been running 30, 35 years strong. He was dealing with some personal issues.”

The Hot Boys rapper also explained that Swizz Beatz was “even hurt” by Wayne’s cancellation because he played a huge part in securing the event.

“That’s the reason Swizz even pulled the trigger on it in the first place,” B.G. said.
