On Sunday, the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that Israel has recovered the remains of three Israeli hostages from Hamas, facilitated by the Red Cross. According to an official statement, the bodies were retrieved by Israeli Defense Forces and Shin Bet operatives within the Gaza Strip.

The statement outlined plans to transport the remains back to Israel, where they will be honored in a military ceremony overseen by the chief military rabbi.

Following the ceremony, the bodies will be sent to the National Center of Forensic Medicine under the Ministry of Health for identification. Once this process is concluded, the families of the deceased will receive official notifications.

The families have already been informed, and the government extends its deepest condolences, noting in the statement that their “hearts are with them at this difficult time.”

The statement further emphasized Israel’s unwavering dedication to securing the release of all hostages, asserting that efforts will persist “relentlessly and will not cease until the last hostage is brought home.”

The Israeli public was also urged to respect the families’ privacy and avoid spreading unverified information, with updates provided only from official sources.

This is a developing story. Check back for details.
