Charlie’s Kirk’s passing has thrust his widow, Erika Kirk, into the public eye, sparking a flurry of rumors about her, including a purported connection with former President Donald Trump. Speculations have arisen on social media suggesting that Erika and Trump were acquainted long before Charlie’s tragic death, potentially even before her relationship with the influential conservative began. These rumors partially stem from Erika’s involvement in the 2012 Miss USA pageant, once owned by Trump. But does her pageant participation imply any personal connection with the future president?

Currently, there is no substantial evidence to suggest that Erika and Trump had any relationship before she met Charlie, who had a well-known association with Trump. Erika’s journey in the 2012 pageant was relatively short-lived, and she did not make a significant impression that would capture Trump’s attention. That year, the crown went to Miss Rhode Island, Olivia Culpo, who later became Miss Universe and was frequently photographed with Trump post-victory. Erika did not advance to the finalists, suggesting her involvement was unlikely to have brought her into Trump’s sphere at that time.
Today, however, Erika and Trump are indeed acquainted.
Following the death of Charlie Kirk, which elicited widespread reactions from celebrities, Erika Kirk committed to playing a larger role in Turning Point USA, the organization Charlie founded to promote conservative principles among young people, particularly college students. “His passion was my passion, and now his mission is my mission,” she expressed at his memorial, as reported by Turning Point USA. “Everything that Turning Point USA built through Charlie’s vision and hard work, we will make ten times greater through the power of his memory.” With the organization’s strong alignment with Trump, it seems likely that Erika will continue to interact with him in the future. They have already been seen together following Charlie’s unexpected passing.
Both Erika and Donald Trump took to the stage at Charlie’s memorial service in September 2025, sharing an emotional moment. They embraced warmly, with Erika visibly moved. The audience responded with supportive applause as Erika joined Trump on stage, and he comforted her as her emotions surfaced. A month later, Erika attended an event where Trump posthumously awarded Charlie the Presidential Medal of Freedom on what would have been his 32nd birthday. Erika described this honor as “the best birthday gift he could ever have,” as reported by the New York Post.

However, they’ve already spent time together since Charlie’s shocking death.
