“I think it was honestly trying to pay homage to what has come, and take all the aspects of what makes the Predator iconic, and trying to weave in my own unique flavor to his character. He is a unique character we’ve never seen. There were a lot of physical challenges, being hot all the time. The suit was quite heavy: running through mountains and Elle on my back.”
Fanning touched on what she’ll take away from the film.
“I gained a lot. I had never been to New Zealand before, and it was such a beautiful place,” she said. “I also found a real strength in myself. I think we were put through very physically draining situations, and to be able to also carry the emotion and act while your body’s in an uncomfortable position. There was a lot going on in this film, and we really overcame that.”
The first showings of “Predator: Badlands” begin Thursday afternoon.
