Exclusive Insight: Launching today, nine.com.au introduces a captivating series spotlighting some of Australia’s most brilliant entrepreneurs, founders, and CEOs. We’ll delve into their inspirations and gather invaluable advice for budding business minds.
Sophia Begg, recognized online as @sophadophaa, stands among Australia’s top young influencers, boasting over 2 million followers across her social media platforms.
In 2023, she co-founded All For Mimi, a fashion brand that became an instant sensation with its viral tank tops, quickly selling out and capturing the public’s attention.
At just 21, Sophia masterfully balances the roles of a prominent internet persona and a thriving entrepreneur.
Here are her keys to achieving success.
How do you start the day to set yourself up for success?
I love to start the day with a morning walk with my partner before making my Tropeaka matcha to enjoy a quiet moment before the chaos!
What are three daily habits you always stick to?
Morning matcha, daily gratitude, and ‘no-phone’ time before bed.
Lots of Aussies are looking for a career change — what small action can help them get ahead of other candidates?
What stands out to me is when applicants take the time to attend to the finer details.
You’d be surprised at how many applications don’t have a cover letter or have spelling errors!
What financial myth do you wish you never bought into?
In my first ever car, when I was 18, I believed that if I put my windows down the car would go slower and therefore use more petrol.
So even in summer, in 30 degree heat, I would keep my windows up and never use the aircon to save money.
What do you wish you could tell your 20-year-old self?
Last year [Begg turned 20 in 2024] was a wild one as it was the first year of my brand All For Mimi.
I would tell my 20-year-old self to speak kindly to herself, take each “mistake” as a learning curve, and keep moving forward.
