DETROIT – Sam Rosen’s voice echoed through Madison Square Garden for the last time as a Rangers commentator on April 17, but the legendary broadcaster knew this wouldn’t be his final farewell to the iconic venue.
Late in the 2024-25 season, Chris Drury, both the president and general manager of the Rangers, invited Rosen to collaborate on the team’s centennial season festivities.
Rosen, who dedicated over four decades to narrating the Blueshirts’ games before retiring at the close of last season, eagerly accepted the opportunity.
This Saturday evening, before the Rangers face off against the Islanders, Rosen will make his return to MSG, taking on the role of Master of Ceremonies for the second themed night, which celebrates the franchise’s “Milestones and Moments.”
