Historically, the casting process for RHONJ has been more challenging than other franchises due to a more limited selection of potential cast members.
Recently, Teresa Giudice expressed her willingness to mend her relationship with her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, despite their ongoing conflict. However, her issues with Margaret Josephs remain unresolved. The recent reunion between Teresa and Melissa could spark renewed interest in the series, though fresh faces are still anticipated.
A source disclosed to Bravo & Cocktails that RHONJ is indeed on the brink of a significant transformation.
According to a source speaking to Bravo & Cocktails, a “new era” is coming for RHONJ.
“New Jersey is poised to become a new celebrity hotspot thanks to Netflix’s Presence,” said the source, referring to the new development of a former Army post in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey – where Netflix is set to build a film studio complex.
“Thanks to Netflix’s new $1 billion investment to transform the previously shuttered 292-acre former Fort Monmouth … realtors in NJ are already seeing an uptick in property interest and prices as actors, executives, directors, and producers are scoping the area ahead of the 2028 completion date,” the source continued.
“Bravo is already gauging interest from high-powered individuals moving from LA to be part of the RHONJ reboot,” the source went on. “Although 2028 seems far away, it’s really only 2 years. Bravo anticipates getting one more season of RHONJ out by late 2026, early 2027, and then the season after that will be elevated with some women who are planning to make the move.”
According to the source, only the women set to attend BravoCon 2025 are getting considered for the new season.
“Bravo believes that if Teresa and Melissa make up, Margaret and Teresa can too,” they added. “With Teresa, Melissa, Dolores [Catania], Margaret, and Jen Fessler and 3 newbies, Bravo believes it will work if the women are actually connected to the cast.”
As for the newbie being considered, the source claims “Bravo is [interested] in Lisa Fortunato, who has been friends with Teresa for years, and even has been on the show a few times. Her daughter is the one who is roommates with Brooke Shields’ youngest daughter.”
As of now, The Real Housewives of New Jersey is still on hiatus.
