$35k grant to improve Wise Co. emergency response operations

WISE COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — A significant boost is on its way to Wise County’s emergency services, thanks to a generous donation from the Appalachian Power Foundation.

In a recent announcement, the Wise County Office of Emergency Management, alongside the Board of Supervisors, shared that they have been granted $35,000 by the foundation. This funding aims to enhance the county’s emergency response strategies and improve community readiness.
