Prepare for a season filled with intrigue on Oxygen’s Accident, Suicide or Murder as the show returns to uncover more perplexing cases.

The sixth season premieres on Saturday, November 22, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, promising to delve into a fresh batch of enigmatic deaths. Investigators aim to uncover the truth behind each case, leaving no stone unturned.

According to the announcement on November 10, “Every episode spans an hour, diving into mysterious deaths initially categorized as accidents, suicides, or murders.” As families seek justice and detectives strive to reveal the facts, hidden motives come to light, offering closure and justice to those left behind.

The season opener centers on the mysterious demise of 71-year-old Alan Abrahamson.

While investigators initially suspect Abrahamson’s death might have resulted from a robbery gone wrong, the investigation quickly evolves, revealing unexpected twists.

“As new evidence surfaces, detectives develop a wild theory to explain his death,” the press release teases, “and only a voice from the grave can prove it.”

According to an exclusive preview of the episode, Abrahamson was discovered dead in an open field near the affluent Ballen Isles Country Club and residential community in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

“It’s bright and early in the morning, so number one, what are you doing out in the middle of the field, right around the corner from the Ballen Isles entrance with the guard shack gate right there?” retired Palm Beach Gardens Detective Rick Moretti asked in the clip. “He’s an elderly gentleman so maybe he was taking a walk? We don’t know at this time.”

Per Moretti, the 71-year was found with a gunshot wound “just near the heart,” from what appeared to be a small-caliber weapon.

Adding to the mystery, Colleen Machado, a  senior crime analyst with Palm Beach Gardens Police, explained the body was found “laying face up, almost like he had kind of fallen over perfectly,”—a detail she described as “odd.”

That wasn’t the only element of the case that struck investigators as unusual. Detectives also found it troubling that the wound was almost perfectly centered in Abrahamson’s chest.

“I thought possibly that we were going to find a firearm underneath him,” Assistant Chief Randall Anderson remarked, “that maybe he committed suicide.” 

Yet, when the medical examiners turned over Abrahamson’s body they didn’t find any weapon, only adding to the complexity surrounding the case.

In addition to Abrahamson’s death, the season also promises to delve into a woman’s sudden death inside a Detroit hotel. After her death, investigators discovered a “dark web of secrets, lies, and deadly coincidences that hint at something far more sinister,” according to the release. 

While in another episode, “nothing makes sense” after a Navy officer succumbs to a mysterious illness at sea, until an autopsy is performed that yields “a stunning revelation.” 

“All roads lead to dead ends,” the press release hints, “until they zero in on an unlikely target.”
