After marking their first year together, Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson, a prominent socialite from Palm Beach, are encountering challenges in fully welcoming her into the Trump circle, as revealed by sources to the Daily Mail.
Anderson, a 38-year-old staple of the high-society scene in Palm Beach, has faced skepticism and even criticism in her attempts to integrate into the social and familial networks of her partner. This insight comes from several individuals familiar with the dynamics surrounding the president’s son.
The resistance partly stems from a Palm Beach Police investigation into the mysterious vanishing of valuables from a retired real estate mogul’s residence, which allegedly involves some of Anderson’s acquaintances.
Although the police have clarified that Anderson herself has never been a suspect in the case, this incident has caused the First Family to exercise caution.
“There are various suspects in the case, none of whom include Bettina Anderson,” Palm Beach police chief Nicholas Caristo informed the Daily Mail.
The incident involved multi-millionaire Joel Pashcow, 82, who Bettina knows through sitting on a board of a non-profit with him. She regularly accompanied him to black-tie galas that Palm Beach is famous for.
Paschow’s name recently bubbled up in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal when it was revealed he had contributed salacious drawings of the financier getting massaged by topless women to the pedophile’s 50th birthday book. He also posed with Epstein holding a ceremonial check.
His family complained that several items – including a including a Rolex watch and gold Krugerands – vanished from a closet in his $30million home causing a mini-scandal in the billionaires’ enclave.
One year since the Daily Mail revealed their romance, cracks are beginning to show in Donald Trump Jr and his Palm Beach socialite girlfriend Bettina Anderson’s relationship, according to insidersÂ
Insiders tell the Daily Mail 38-year-old Bettina Anderson is struggling for acceptance within the Trump worldÂ
Perhaps even more scandalous is that Bettina originally had set her sights on another beau before she started her romance with Don Jr, sources tell the Daily Mail.
‘She was going for Elon Musk,’ said a friend of Anderson, who asked to remain anonymous, citing fears of backlash from Trump World.
‘She told me she wanted to have one of Elon’s babies and she thought going after Don Jr would help her get close to Elon. She told several of us this was her ultimate goal.’
That, however, hasn’t happened, and Anderson has remained firmly by Don Jr’s side and he has told friends of his intention to marry her.
Anderson did not return the Daily Mail’s request for comment. A Trump Organization spokesman did not directly address the issues in a series of expletive-filled messages.Â
While Don Jr. and Bettina are understood to be spending much of their time at his new ranch at the Pine Creek Sporting Club in Central Florida or at Anderson’s West Palm Beach townhouse, neighbors tell the Daily Mail the president’s son still makes regular visits to the home he co-owns with ex-fiancée and new US Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, 56.
The former couple bought the $10million, 11,000-square-foot, six-bedroom waterfront house in Jupiter, Florida, some 20 miles north of Mar-a-Lago, in March 2021.
With Guilfoyle now living in Athens, the shared home provides a potential third love nest for Don Jr and Anderson.
‘Kim isn’t too happy about this,’ said one Guilfoyle associate who asked to not be named.
Reportedly Anderson, whose relationship with Don Jr was revealed later last year, originally had her sights set on the world’s richest man and former Trump advisor, Elon Musk , say insiders
Bettina has been seen with members of the Trump family including Don Jr’s children and his brother and sister-in-law Eric and wife Lara Trump, but the First Family is said not to have taken her to heart sources tell Daily Mail
‘She is worried about the stuff she’s leaving behind. The last thing she wants to do is see Bettina using something she owns.
‘She is really worried even if she has sworn off Don Jr as yesterday’s news. Her favorite thing to say is that ‘he’s no prize’.’
Last December, the Daily Mail exclusively reported that Don Jr and Guilfoyle had officially called it quits – three months after we published photos of him and Anderson enjoying an intimate brunch in Palm Beach.
Anderson was born into one of Palm Beach’s old-money banking families, the daughter of Palm Beach society couple Harry Loy Anderson Jr, a banker, and his wife Inger, an immigrant from Sweden.
Best known as H. Loy, the elder Anderson became president of a small bank, Worth Avenue National Bank, in 1970 then went on to take over a slew of other financial institutions.
Bettina’s mother was a model at New York’s Eileen Ford agency in the 1970s and 1980s who started an exercise regimen patterned after the era’s guru, Jane Fonda.
Through a network of old-time society members formed at the black-tie galas organized on the island of Palm Beach during the winter, H. Loy became the moneyed set’s go-to banker.
That put him in contact with people like Herbert ‘Peter’ Pulitzer, scion of the publishing fortune whose first marriage to Lilly Pulitzer planted the seeds of a clothing empire, and second marriage to Roxanne Pulitzer made him a household name in the early 1980s.
Multi-millionaire real estate broker Joel Pashcow allegedly had valuables stolen from him by a group of Anderson’s friendsÂ
Pashcow’s contribution to Epstein’s ‘birthday book’ included this drawing of the financier luring pre-pubescent girls with balloons and candy and then 20 years later getting a naked massage from topless women

The former couple bought the $10million, 11,000-square-foot, six-bedroom waterfront house in Jupiter, Florida , north of Mar-a-Lago, in March 2021
Anderson was known to be Peter Pulitzer’s best friend and stood by him as the divorce from Roxanne spawned allegations of cocaine-fueled orgies.
With clients like Pulitzer and his presence on the boards of top Palm Beach charities like the American Red Cross, the Hanley-Hazelden Foundation, the YMCA, Holocaust Memorial Foundation, Leukemia Foundation and Boy Scouts of America, Bettina’s dad was able to give his family a decadent, extravagant lifestyle while organizing parties where the guests of honor mingled with live elephants and pythons.
Through the partying and business networking, Bettina’s parents had six children whose births were spread over 20 years, four girls and two boys. Bettina has a twin sister, Kristina.
H. Loy died in 2006 of Alzheimer’s, according to his obituary, after he famously turned to religion and became an elder in the local Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church.
What was not in his death announcements was the story that Palm Beach old timers tell visitors, that society stalwarts with safes in H. Loy’s banks would secretly stash their personal reserves of drugs inside and empty them before closing on Fridays for use on weekends.
Bettina and her siblings were raised with the proverbial silver spoon and sent to the finest private schools that Palm Beach and the country had to offer.
One of her siblings, meanwhile, made news.
In August 2016, Bettina’s brother and their father’s namesake, H. Loy III, then 38, was nabbed by Customs at Palm Beach Airport after flying his private plane back from The Bahamas with psilocybin mushrooms stashed in a pack of cigarettes.
Anderson joined her lover when he accompanied President Trump on his trip to Scotland in July Â
The 38-year-old socialite is the daughter of Inger Anderson, the widow of H. Loy Anderson Jr (. The mother and daughter are pictured together last yearÂ
Bettina was a passenger on the plane, as Daily Mail revealed in 2024. She was not implicated in any crime.
According to federal court records, the younger H. Loy was charged with two federal felony counts of drug smuggling and was facing 20 years in prison and $1million in fines if convicted.
But federal prosecutors agreed to a plea bargain. He pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to four years probation and $5,000 in fines.
Bettina’s brother told the judge he was sorry for his self-destructive behavior and was seeking counseling as he still reeled from his father’s death a decade earlier.
The case’s sentencing memo describes Bettina’s family as ‘inspired by gospel music and the passion’ of the elder Anderson’s church.
Until she met Trump Jr, however, members of Palm Beach’s moneyed set tell the Daily Mail Bettina was seen in the company of much older, extremely rich men.
There’s been rumors of relationships with 56-year-old billionaire Ken Griffin, CEO of the hedge fund Citadel LLC, and 62-year-old William ‘Beau’ Wrigley, heir to the chewing gum fortune, as well as with Pashcow.
Bettina is a product of an Ivy League education at Columbia, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in art history, criticism and conservation but rarely worked in the art business.
Bettina was born into one of Palm Beach privilege and attended black tie events with family members including her brothers Loy (left) and Kent
Anderson has been seen at her beau’s side at White House events since they went public with their relationship late last yearÂ
Bettina was mentioned as a passenger on her brother’s private plane when he was arrested and charged with drug smuggling, a charge that was reduced to possession of a controlled substance. She was not implicated in his crime
She had a short-lived attempt at a modeling career but ended mostly in the pages of local magazines.
Few in Palm Beach can point at any major career achievements for Bettina. Her LinkedIn page shows her as founder and director of fundraising of an outfit called paradise.ngo, which she claims is a disaster relief not-for-profit company that travels around the world to ‘preserve paradise.’ It is unclear whether the company still exists.
She once had a real estate broker sales associate license in Florida listed as current but inactive.
Still, Anderson owns a 2,400-square-foot townhouse in a West Palm Beach complex named Villas on Antique Row, according to the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser, estimated to be worth $700,000.
Neighbors have noticed the occasional presence of U.S. Secret Service near the building, a sign that Don Jr comes calling.
