Amy Schumer is embracing a new chapter in her life following her recent weight loss journey.

“Back on my staircase nonsense once more,” the 44-year-old comedian humorously announced alongside a collection of photos in a Maison Valentino dress on Instagram, dated Tuesday, November 11.

She continued with a playful note, “I actually ventured out of my house tonight. Who’s cheering me on? I’m feeling great and content. Wiped my old pics just because!”

It seems Schumer has either removed or archived her previous Instagram posts, marking this fresh start after showcasing her weight loss.

Amy Schumer’s journey from aspiring stand-up performer to celebrated movie star is remarkable. Reflecting on challenging times, she shared with GQ in a 2015 interview, “After my dad was diagnosed with MS, we faced bankruptcy, and my mom left him, those years from 12 to 15 were particularly tough,” Schumer recalled, highlighting the struggles endured by her and her siblings.

Back in March, the Trainwreck star opened up about her experience with the FDA-approved GLP-1 drug Mounjaro, a brand name for tirzepatide, which is prescribed for treating type 2 diabetes, weight loss and obstructive sleep apnea.

“Three years ago, I tried [semaglutide drug] Wegovy,” Schumer said in an Instagram video. “I was puking, I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever. But anyway, I went on this Telehealth meeting with [virtual care clinic] Midi Health, and it was cheap. I wanted to try it myself ‘cause I wanted to recommend it to my friends who are nurses and teachers.”

“They put me on estrogen and progesterone because I realized I was in perimenopause and my symptoms from being perimenopause have disappeared,” Schumer continued. “My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy, I want to get down more, if you know what I mean. I’m talking about sex. So that’s been great and Mounjaro’s been great.”

She added of taking Mounjaro, “And, look, it’s not covered by insurance unless you have diabetes or like severe obesity, which most of the internet thinks I have. But I’m having a really good experience with it and I wanted to keep it real with you about that.”

Amy Schumer Shows Off Weight Loss in New Pic: ‘Don’t Call It a Comeback’

Amy Schumer is all smiles while showing off her body transformation. Schumer, 44, shared a photo via Instagram on Saturday, October 4, on a recent Las Vegas trip with pals Alex Saks and Jillian Bell. In the image, the trio stood with their arms around each other as Schumer rocked a Miu Miu button-down mini […]

Schumer has been candid about her weight struggles in the past, including her experiences with Ozempic, another brand name for semaglutide.

In a January appearance on SiriusXM’s Howard Stern Show, she said, “I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy. So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was like, bedridden. I was like, vomiting — and then you have no energy. But other people take it and they’re all good. So, God bless them.”

She added, “I lost 30 pounds so quick. I looked great, but I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow. So what’s the point?”

Other stars who have used Mounjaro include Scott Disick, Whoopi Goldberg and Jim Gaffigan.

Chelsea Handler, Kyle Richards and More Celebrities Who've Spoken About the Ozempic Weight Loss

Ozempic has become a hot topic when it comes to weight loss — with some stars confirming they have used the drug while others denied it. Chelsea Handler admitted during a January 2023 episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that she unknowingly took the Type 2 diabetes medication, which is traditionally used to improve […]

“I was so paranoid that I was going to be nauseous that I kind of put it off, but then it kind of worked,” Gaffigan, 59, exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2024. “It’s weird because we live in this society where people who eat too much are told that they just don’t have any self-control. … There are people that just have no ‘off’ button to eat, right?”

“It’s obviously personal, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. But then again, anonymity is a thing surrounding a lot of struggles like that,” he added of the stigma around weight loss drugs.
