Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice, known for their journey on Married At First Sight, have celebrated their first wedding anniversary.

The couple took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a collection of affectionate photos, capturing the essence of their fast-paced love story.

Clint, hailing from Tasmania, and Jacqui, originally from New Zealand, found their match on the Channel Nine show and commemorated their union with a touching social media post. The couple included a heartfelt message alongside a gallery of images chronicling their past year together.

“Twelve months today with the love of my life! This was taken a few days into our relationship on November 15, 2024,” Jacqui shared, posting a charming photo of the pair sharing a kiss while sitting on a kitchen counter.

In her candid message, the reality television star didn’t shy away from addressing those who questioned the authenticity of their love story, standing firm in her commitment to Clint.

‘Haters and jealous attention-seeking co-stars said it’s fake, PR stunt, give it three months, performative or manipulative, just for attention,’ she wrote.

‘One year in today – please forward your apologies in writing because it looks like your three-month forecast aged like milk with your integrity.’

The former bride went on to issue a fiery message to her detractors, adding: ‘Also ew, never project your gross expiration dates or beliefs onto me or Clint ever again.

‘Good luck and good riddance, and keep our names out of your dirty, sad, depressing mouths.’

The carousel of photos shared by Jacqui captured the couple at various stages of their relationship – from romantic getaways and cycling trips to cosy nights in with their dogs.

One shot showed the pair beaming beside a Christmas tree, while another captured Clint kissing Jacqui on the cheek during a date night.

The pair, who met during the filming of MAFS 2025, sparked headlines earlier this year after their on-screen connection was initially met with scepticism from fellow participants.

Despite the controversy, the duo remained inseparable after filming wrapped, and have since become one of the show’s rare lasting love stories.

Jacqui, 30, a lawyer and former Miss New Zealand winner, was matched with Ryan Donnelly, 37, during the experiment, but ended up leaving with Tasmanian golfer Clint.

The couple’s chemistry was immediate, but their relationship was marred by drama, with some castmates questioning their authenticity both on and off-camera.

Now, 12 months later, their anniversary post appears to be a not-so-subtle message to those who doubted them.

Clint also shared his own tribute, reposting Jacqui’s message with a heart emoji, proving their bond is stronger than ever.

Jacqui was a polarising figure on the twelfth season of MAFS Australia, receiving a ‘villain edit’ on the screen while simultaneously speaking out about the show’s happenings on social media.

From being labelled ‘wacky Jacqui’ by her fellow contestants to being torn apart for her emotional outbursts regarding her TV husband Ryan, the former lawyer didn’t have an easy ride on the show.
