Did Demi Engemann Quit ‘The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’?

Amidst allegations of infidelity and contentious contract talks, Demi Engemann became a focal point during Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Although she once touted herself as a “fan-favorite,” Engemann’s presence was conspicuously limited in the early episodes of Season 3.

Aside from a few unrecorded confrontations at influencer gatherings, Engemann was largely absent, mirroring the situation of fellow cast member Whitney Leavitt. The drama traces back to the end of Season 2 when Engemann’s attempt to oust Taylor Frankie Paul from the MomTok circle backfired, resulting in Engemann’s own exclusion. This was compounded by a fallout with her former close friend Jessi Ngatikaura over acrimonious contract disputes and rumors of an affair. Post-production, Engemann formed an unexpected alliance with Leavitt, leaving the MomTok community bewildered.

Did Engemann indeed depart from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives? Here’s what we discovered.

Did Demi Engemann Quit The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives?

Yes, Demi Engemann exited The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives prior to the commencement of Season 3. Insider Mikayla Mathews revealed that Engemann demanded a salary three times higher than her co-stars during contract renegotiations. When her request wasn’t met, she opted to step away from the series. Nonetheless, she wasn’t entirely out of the social loop.

Throughout the initial episodes of Season 3, Engemann made appearances at influencer events attended by other cast members. Although she wasn’t equipped with a microphone nor featured in personal interviews, she still found herself embroiled in a few heated exchanges.

Like Whitney Leavitt, Engemann did end up returning to the show in a larger capacity by Season 3, Episode 6, as the girls began doing press for Season 2. Engemann shared that she initially left MomTok because she didn’t feel like she was “valued” in the group. However, she decided to return to filming to “set the record straight” since she felt like she hadn’t had a “fair chance” to tell her side of the story.
