A shocking twist emerged in the case of convicted rapist Alexander Kise, as he and his girlfriend, Alydia Gater, faced sentencing on Thursday for their roles in a sinister murder-for-hire plot targeting the prosecutor and judge involved in Kise’s original trial.
Back in May 2024, Kise received a 35-year prison sentence for a brutal rape conviction. This week, he faced additional legal consequences, with an extra 5 to 15 years tacked on for two counts of conspiracy, according to WHAM. Meanwhile, Gater, who pleaded guilty to similar charges, was sentenced to a prison term ranging from 2 to 6 years.
The chilling scheme came to light through jailhouse phone calls following Kise’s conviction for the 2022 kidnapping and rape of a high school senior, whom he held captive for two harrowing days. CrimeOnline reported that court documents revealed the couple had meticulously planned the attack, providing detailed descriptions and locations of their intended targets.
In an unexpected turn, their supposed “hitman” was actually an undercover agent with the New York State Police, leading to the couple’s swift arrest and subsequent sentencing. The case has drawn significant attention, highlighting the lengths to which some individuals will go to retaliate against the justice system.
Their “hitman” turned out to be an undercover agent with New York State Police.
Orders of protection were issued Thursday for the two intended victims of the plot, WHAM said.
