Trump detonates MTG alliance in stunning break-up announcement

Donald Trump has pulled back his endorsement of Marjorie Taylor Greene, a longtime associate, accusing her of veering towards the “Far Left” and labeling her as “a ranting lunatic.”

Despite Greene’s frequent assertions of being one of Trump’s staunchest supporters in Congress, she has recently clashed with him on various matters, including backing a petition to disclose the Epstein files.

In a detailed post on Truth Social Friday evening, Trump aired their disagreements, even revealing that he had advised Greene against a Senate run in 2026.

“I am withdrawing my support and endorsement of ‘Congresswoman’ Marjorie Taylor Greene, from the Great State of Georgia,” Trump announced.

He subsequently highlighted his achievements during his nine months in office, contrasting them with his perception of Greene’s actions, which he described as a constant stream of complaints.

He wrote: ‘It seemed to all begin when I sent her a Poll stating that she should not run for Senator, or Governor, she was at 12%, and didn’t have a chance (unless, of course, she had my Endorsement — which she wasn’t about to get!).’

The president claims that since he refused to endorse her ambitions, he doesn’t return her phone calls.

‘With 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 Countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day,’ Trump claimed.

He then suggested that Greene should face a primary to retain her deep red seat in Georgia in 2026.

‘I understand that wonderful, Conservative people are thinking about primarying Marjorie in her District of Georgia, that they too are fed up with her and her antics and, if the right person runs, they will have my Complete and Unyielding Support,’ he said.

Trump then claimed the Greene ‘has gone Far Left, even doing The View, with their Low IQ Republican hating Anchors. Thank you for your attention to this matter.’

Greene responded within the hour, in a lengthy statement claiming Trump was doing this over her vote on the Epstein files.

‘President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files,’ Greene wrote.

Trump has been trying to keep a hold on the Republican Party as he faces defections. Greene, Lauren Boebert, Nancy Mace and libertarian Thomas Massie have all supported the petition for a vote on the Epstein files.

The president also hit out at Massie in a Truth Social post right before his slap at Greene.

‘Did Thomas Massie, sometimes referred to as Rand Paul Jr., because of the fact that he always votes against the Republican Party, get married already??? Boy, that was quick! No wonder the Polls have him at less than an 8% chance of winning the Election. Anyway, have a great life Thomas and (?). His wife will soon find out that she’s stuck with a LOSER!’

The Daily Mail has reached out to a spokesperson for Congressman Massie for comment.

While his strike at Massie is nothing knew, the parting of ways with Greene is something unfathomable to the MAGA base just months earlier.

This is a developing story.
