Andy Cohen, renowned for his knack of drawing high-profile guests to his show Watch What Happens Live, is celebrated for his probing questions. Regular viewers of this reality TV talk show look forward to seeing some of their beloved celebrities face the heat, and two of his recent episodes certainly lived up to that expectation.
Recently, the spotlight of Andy’s set fell on two prominent actresses: Sarah Paulson and Dakota Fanning. Interestingly, both shared some intriguing opinions about the world of The Real Housewives. While one actress eagerly revealed her favorite cast member, the other was candid about which housewife didn’t quite win her over.
In a recent airing of Watch What Happens Live, Sarah Paulson participated in the segment “Truth or Drink” and didn’t shy away from naming the Bravo Housewife she considers most overrated. When Andy Cohen posed the question, “Sarah, who do you think is the most overrated Real Housewife from any franchise?” the 50-year-old actress responded without pause. “Teresa,” she stated, referring to Teresa Giudice, a staple of the Real Housewives of New Jersey who has appeared in all 14 seasons of the series.
Sarah Paulson Dished On The ‘Most Overrated’ Housewife
During a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, actress Sarah Paulson played a round of “Truth or Drink” and revealed who she thinks is the most overrated Bravo Housewife. When host Andy Cohen asked, “Sarah, who’s the most overrated Real Housewife across all franchises?” the 50-year-old actress didn’t hesitate. “Teresa,” she replied, referring to Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, who has appeared on all 14 seasons of her show.
This isn’t Paulson’s first candid comment about a Bravo personality. In a 2019 Vanity Fair interview, she said Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Vanderpump “wasn’t that nice to me.” Lisa later responded on Twitter that she tries “to be nice to everybody,” an answer which didn’t seem to satisfy Sarah.
Later, Sarah would go back on WWHL in 2020 to double down on her original take:
There’s a kind of vitriol that was like, ‘Wow, I didn’t say she was a terrible person, I simply said she wasn’t that nice to me.’ She wasn’t. And that’s okay. It’s not a character assassination. It’s not a character assassination. It’s just… she wasn’t that friendly.
Dakota Fanning Revealed Her All-Time Favorite Housewife
Meanwhile, Dakota Fanning also appeared on Watch What Happens Live recently, showing off her Bravo superfan status while playing a rapid-fire game of “It’s All Her Fault.” The actress eagerly shared her thoughts on the Real Housewives universe, proving she’s deeply familiar with the drama across multiple franchises.
Putting her on the spot, Andy asked Dakota a tricky question:
Who was at fault for being the bigger alpha all season long, Alexia [Nepola] or Stephanie [Shojaee]?
Despite being in the hot seat, Dakota didn’t miss a beat, smiling as she replied, “Alexia’s my favorite Housewife of all time.” She added that she loves Alexia “so much” that the Real Housewives of Miami star “can never do anything wrong” in her book.
Dakota went on to discuss other cast dynamics, including feuds and shocking moments from RHOM Season 7. She admitted she wasn’t a fan of the “kissing and telling thing” that caused tension during the reunion, clarifying that she doesn’t “like the kissing and telling thing” in general and doesn’t blame Adriana de Moura for the drama. Still, Dakota emphasized her affection for the RHOM cast, saying she loves “them all,” a sentiment many Bravo fans no doubt share.
